scanner recommendation

I've decided to buy a flatbed scanner - but it must operate perfectly under
Linux. Anyone out there with some recommendations? Card bus May be SCSI.
Format should be A4 or more. High scan quality is essential, high usability
und low noise are appreciated. Scan speed is less important, though not
negligible.

I hope for a stream of recommandations!
