I bought a "multimedia" set-top box from ebay, but it doesnt do
anything useful and apparently the manufacturer doesnt exist any more.
It boots up but nothing seems to be installed on it, so it just says
non system disk and stops. It looks to be running an x86 processor.
Opening it up, theres a sigma design em8400 chip on it to do the
audio/video playback.
I can probably install linux on it without too much problems, but Im
wondering if theres any application software (binary ok) that I can run
that can detect the chip and play a file.
