Hello everyone,
I am fairly new to linux and was wondering what distro of linux would
be best for this machine:
Compaq Presario 425 All-In-One
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* CPU: Pentium 486SX
* RAM: 12MB
* HDD: 544.5MB
* Floppy: Yes 1.44MB
* CD-ROM: NO
I did try to use a RedHat Network Boot Floppy so that I could pull the
files from an FTP rather than rigging up a half-assed CDROM. I get to
a point where it gets a kernel panic because no math co-processor was
found and emulation was not present.
Is there any other distros out there where I can use a bootable network
floppy and pull it from an FTP server out on the internet?
I tried a few floppy based distros such as Brutalware but I want
something that will be installed to the HDD.
Any help would be great.
Thanks :-)
