Ah, well, another little question...

Does an S-VHS cable (4 pin variant) carry audio as well as video?

I have this plugged into my Pinnacle card (Bt878), and don't get any sound
through my speakers. There's sound on the recorded tape, that I still hear
through the camcorder's tinny little speaker, but I can't hear it from the
computer's speakers.

I get sound OK if I use the tuner to catch a broadcast TV channel.

I've tried all settings I can find in the four different audio control or
mixer programs I have. No joy.

Running Mandrake 10.1 (2.6.8.1-10mdk); Gnome; on an Asus A7N8X-E deluxe.

Keith.
