i've a fedora core3 on my compaq presario m2013 laptop. the problem is
while it does detect my soundcard (intel ac97) there is no sound output
no matter how high the volume is. i've tried connecting to a high
volume soundbox, tried aumix & increasing volume to max(its not muted
as well) but that didn't work as well.

do i need to install linux drivers of this sound card??

thanks for any answer.
