RAID 1 unter Ubuntu

Hallo,
ich möchte mein RAID1-System unter Ubuntu benutzen können. Wie gehe
ich da vor (ich habe noch sehr wenig Erfahrung mit Linux); ich muss das
System wohl vor der Installation konfigurieren, da ich sonst keine
herkömmlichen Festplatten angeschlossen habe. Ich habe bereits die
Live-CD gestartet und der Controller wurde erkannt, jedoch kann ich
nicht auf das Volume zugreifen.
