Using hardware RAID on a 2-disk RAID 1 array is already overkill unless
you're interested in hotswap, as Linux software raid is way much faster...
much more the use of a BBU-capable hardware RAID solution (which is
essentially the difference between a 3Ware 85xx-xx and 9000-xx card, aside
from variable memory).
