Hi,
I have the debian sarge installed on my Toshiba Laptop. I use an external
disk plugged in the usb 2.0 port, with two partitions : Primary ext3 and a
vfat on an extended partition.
So that, when I plug the disk, one node is mounted on the system
coresponding to sda1 (ext3). I can mount manually the vfat one on sda5. Have
done it at the same time once. now, when i mount the sda1, everything ok
until I try write files on it. For a short time, it is working, then the
flow is falling down ( i mean the bit rate), then it is waiting and finally
i loose the node of the usb port. In the logs, there is just a mention of
I/O error. But I can not umount the device because the system answer it is
busy. I have checked the partition with tesdisk and e2fsk.
Does anyone can help ?
The following packages are installed on my system : usbcore, pmount, hal,
but i have no ohci-usb module.
Thanks.
Denis
