Short: Which Webcam can you recommend to be used under Linux?
Long:
I'm currently giving some of the computer based experiments for
the physics students a major mockup: new software (the old one
is running on DOS3.7 and only on this), new hardware (where to
get replacement parts for 286...). Now it runs on decent
hardware and Linux of course, giving a whole new possiblities,
e.g. to remote control them.
Now you also have to be able to see a picture of the experiment
so you get a clue what's happening. Thus the webcam should have
a good image quality and produce a bright clear picutre, also
over more than 1 meter distance.
What can be recommended?
