I've just switched over to FC4 from FC3. I don't know if I'm imagining
this but the latest version of the Xorg Nvidia drivers seems to be much
faster. In earlier revs the Nvidia binary drivers were noticeably faster
then the open source drivers, that doesn't seem to be the case now. I've
switched back and forth between nv and nvidia a couple of times and as far
as I can tell the open source nv driver is just as fast as the binary
nvidia driver. I don't see any mention of an improved Nvidia driver on the
x.org website. Has anyone else noticed a difference? Is it possible a side
effect of improvements in Gnome?
