greets!

by mistake (long story!) I got an hp pavillion zv6130us with one of the
broadcom chipsets identified by lspci as 'bcm4306'. (the mistake was, of
course, forgetting to ask hp about the wifi, the long story is why I
forgot.)

anyway, I cannot seem to get the driver up and running. I get an error on
'modprobe ndiswrapper', something to the effect that the module is not
found. there are no prior errors and I don't find anything in
/var/log/messages or dmesg - nothing.

this is SuSE 9.3. I haven't tried with Mepis 3.1.1 yet.

I have tried drivers off hp's site, broadcom's site, the
application/recovery cd for win-xp home and from the installed version of
win-xp home.

I am guessing I just don't have the right drivers. I will provide details
about which ones I have tried if that is going to help.

it would be nice to get this up and going but the laptop is not for me and
the intended is mostly Win XP but I would like my Linux on it on occasions
when I use her system.

I know I can buy a card; would like to solve this.

also tried the Linuxant setup and it complains that I don't have the
appropriate drivers.
