I'm looking for a affordable (300€/USD max) print-copy-scan-fax-center
that is fully compatible with my linux.
printing is not a problem, copying does not need even the computer
switched on, but faxing and scanning is a hard one.
I'd like the canon pixma mp780, but sane does explicitely not support it
and I didnt find any developmentinprogress-indication.
Dont know about fax. Think that all this multifunctiondevices have very
proprietary fax-protocolls. So fax is not the most important thing. Need
to print most faxes for the archives anyway.
Photoprinting is not mandatory.
best,
peter
