Doesn't look to me as if you could get a "decent" (your OP)
laptop that cheap. Perhaps check out ebay for a used (branded)
one not that old, have been using various laptop
(IBM/HP/Sony/FSC/etc) and had no real problems, didn't cared
about one or another PCMCIA winmodem that came with them.
