In practice, even if you can get the box to come out of sleep mode, it
doesn't quite act the way you wish.

Consider the number of scans and other unauthorised access attempts
you will experience. You can probably block a lot of the "noise" packets
in your router, but you may find that your box wakes up a lot more
often that just when you connect to it.
