The ATI Radeon 9250 256MB PCI card is being sold in my
area by a couple of busineses. I'm interested in getting it but I can't
figure out if it supports lcd displays or not. The box has no photos of
the card and the info on it says "Analog monitor and TV output support".
This would seem to imply to me that it has no digital video interface.
Would this be required for lcd displays? (I'm currently using a 19in
Philips 109B analog monitor, but it is getting old, and eventually I will
replace it, most likely with some kind of flat panel display.)

I spent a pretty fair amount of time searching on the web for more
detailed info and get conflicting results. A review from Nov 2004
shows a photo of the box and the card, and it has no digital interface.
But a different description that I found shows the same exact box with a
card from it that does have one. It is a female connector with 3 rows of 8
holes and 2 rows of 2 holes. I guess that is a DVI connector, anyway.

I also read that this card is supported by linux with open souce drivers.
I'm running Xorg 6.8.2.

I did not want to buy it and open the box, and then maybe have to return
it.

Thanks, David
