The compatibility of your card with a monitor is related to the
connector auf the monitor. There several analog monitors with the old
interface. Today there are more and more monitors which have only the
new digital interface (DVI). That is the connector you described.
Maybe the graphics card you want to buy has 2 connectors, one for analog
and for digital signals. The one I am running at this machine is a ATI
Radeon 9600 Pro with both.
Here in Germany you can go to the business and ask to open the box for
checking the hardware. That's the easiest way to find out which product
to buy. There are some guys who choose the product in the business and
buy it at eBay later on:-) Is this possible in your country?
