I appreciate you posting back information that you couldn't find
earlier. I started on a similar project and found information tidbits
here and there but no firm "It will work".
Following your lead, I'd report that as of a few hours ago I have a
RAID 5 server up using two syba (Silicon Image SIL 3114 ) SATA cards
under SLES 9. http://www.syba.com/product/43/02/05/index.html
The card supports four SATA channels but I needed 5 drives so I have
two cards.
I am interested in the details on your test setup. Any chance you
would like to share the details, scripts, etc that you used?
