I have an Ecrix VXA-1 tape drive. The host computer is running linux.
Everything was working fine; I ran a backup and verify (about 3GB) then
tried to eject the tape. The drive rewound, then mt said:
bash-2.05b$ mt -f /dev/st0 eject
/dev/st0: No such device or address
Log files have this to say:

Can anyone shed any light on this? This system is a bit old, but has been
running flawlessly. I've finally decided to make use of the tape drive,
and after running 3 backups totalling abotu 9GB I get this error.
The tape is still inside the drive and the light is blinking....
Is the drive dead? Or what? The scsi errors mean nothing to me....
