Hi,
is there anybody using an Athlon64 X2 in an Asus A8V Deluxe as an
SMP system? If so, would you recommend this board?
I'm thinking about buying an A64 X2 system (solitary for use with
Linux, Fedora Core 4 or something like that) and the A8V would be
the mainboard of choice as I like the GigEther, many PATA+SATA Ports,
AGP Support for my "old" Geforce 6600 and the Via chipset seems
generally to be the recommended one for Linux Users? It's just that
I didn't find any postings of people using an X2 with Linux in an A8V,
should work from all I read (Asus says it supports X2 in newest BIOS,
Linux Users say A8V works for them) but I'd like to hear from someone
using this combination before buying :)
Or is there an other Socket-939 AGP Board which would be "the"
recommended one for Linux users?
Thanx&(:ul8er, r@y
