Some low end HP printers are rebranded Lexmarks. And I agree, avoid them
like the plague.

My canon is also older. But support for it is more generic. It does not
have "full" support with any drivers. Not that most windows drivers take
advantage of all of it's spec'd features. One of those discontinued, we
no longer manufacture this, nor support it ones. Which was it's status
since about three months after purchase. But then again, it does work,
and still works after some 8 years. Baring that $10 an ink cartridge
every 10 or so pages thing.
