I'm looking to buy a really cheap computer to run linux on and I'm
wondering if anybody has had experience with these boards:
PC CHIPS M851G V1.5 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

S3 Graphics UniChrome 2D/3D
PC CHIPS M863G V5.1A Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

SIS Mirage Graphics
PC CHIPS M825G V9.2A Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

S3 Graphics ProSavage8
Foxconn K7S741GXMG-6L Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

SIS Mirage Graphics
Which of these has a better video card for playing full screen video
(divx, xvid, dvd, etc.) and possibly 3d acceleration. I'm not planning
on playing Quake4 on it or anything, but I'd like to use it to watch
movies on and possibly play with some 3d stuff.
I have an Epia M10000 board and I haven't figured out how to get the
video from mplayer to scale properly. So far I've only had experience
setting up the NVidia drivers (which are very easy to setup) and I
managed to get ati drivers for a laptop (very difficult and I'm not sure
how much they helped and if they got the card working 100%).
If the 4 boards are fully compatible with linux, then which would be
easier to work with.
Thanks.
