ok - i knew once a few questions were answered, you'd get some good
response/s -- as the 'General' says - you likely only need a A64 X2 (as
opposed to a Dual Core Opterons Models x65 and higher, where x = 1,2,8)

what's still unclear to me is 'which' Opteron models are s939 only -
but I'm sure someone will stumble in and fill in that blank...[edit->]
well, from here http://techreport.com/cpu/ we can see that they all
begin with 1xx, however not ALL 1xx Opterons are s940
