Hello,
I've an AIPTEK HyperPen 12000U table, and I want to configure X to
use it in absolute mode: I'm now using it via /dev/mice - X deals
with it as if it was a standard mouse.
What do I need to do to use the special functions such as pressure,
absolute mode, etc.?
I know I've to configure a separate mouse device at xorg.conf, but
I've already tried to do that and it didn't worked. I know I'm doing
something wrong, but I don't know what is wrong.
I'm using Gentoo Linux and a 19' CRT display (1024x768).
Somebody knows how to configure correctly this tablet in xorg.conf?
I only have an old "Medion LT 9310", but those those tablets all need
the hyperpen driver, afaik. My xorg.conf looks like this:
Section "ServerLayout"
....
InputDevice "Medion LT 9310 Tablet"
EndSection
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Medion LT 9310 Tablet"
Option "PMin" "75"
Option "PMax" "550"
Driver "hyperpen"
Option "Device" "/dev/ttyS1"
Option "Mode" "absolute"
Option "Cursor" "Stylus"
Option "ActiveArea" "50 40"
Option "XSize" "600"
Option "YSize" "450"
Option "BaudRate" "19200"
Option "AlwaysCore"
EndSection
the hyperpen driver ships with xorg, at least with
x11-base/xorg-x11-6.8.2-r7 which I'm currently running.
