I've been struggling to get my Veo Stingray to work properly in Linux. In
Windows, it works just fine, so the problem can't be the camera, I think.
I looked online and there's several walkthroughs on how to set up the Veo
Stingray using the ibmcam driver. So I compiled the ibm and usbvideo
modules and compiled in the v4l driver and happily rebooted to find that
it didn't work.
My usb works fine, because my flash drive works perfectly. `lsusb` sees my
cam as well, so my usb has to be working right. I modprobed the ibmcam and
usbvideo modules, but they didn't change anything, it appears. Everytime I
unplug and replug the cam I get this: usb 3-1: USB disconnect, address 9
usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 10 usb 3-1:
configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice No mention that it's a webcam and
using the ibmcam driver. I can't think of anything else that could be
wrong. I've tried having the modules compiled into the kernel, or having
the entire usb stack as modules, but neither approaches worked. This is
about the only thing holding me back from staying in Linux entirely. Any
ideas?

Have you tried using GTKam? or gphoto?
Are you connecting the camera to the computer with a usb cable?
What distro are you using?
