I just thought you might like to hear about the most recent news out of
the Open Graphics Project. A couple of months ago, we released the
schematic (high-level wiring diagram) for our OGD1 board. This board
is designed to be a general purpose FPGA-based development board, most
useful for developing graphics cards but generally applicable to other
sorts of hardware development as well. Just last Friday (5/26/06), we
released the artwork for OGD1 (physical layout and routing).
Everything is available under GPL.

We've started working on some of the basic HDL for the board so that
people can make some use of it when it comes out. If any HDL
(primarily Verilog) coders are interested, please join the open
graphics mailing list and give us your input.
