Persistent scanner I/O error
Installed Mandrake Linux on a micro-atx motherboard, system boots up
fine.
It didnt recognize the scsi card, but a quick "modprobe advansys" fixed
that. SCSI bus is terminated and the SCSI BIOS sees both scanners jsut
fine.
Then "sane-find-scanner" located both the Canon KV-SS55EX scanner and
the MicroTek 35 slide scanner.
Running "scanpage" causes each scanner to scan, BUT they only scan one
page or slide, dump out the correct image file, and then report
"Scanner I/O Error". Both scanners work perfectly well on Windows.
Any ideas what to try?
Thanks,
George
