Linux distro for AST Ascentia J Series

Greetings.

I found and AST Ascentia J Series J10 P/75 CSS10 laptop with 16MB RAM,
1 parallel port, 1 vga port, 1 serial port, 1 ps/2 port, 1 mic, 1 line
out, 1 line in, 1 3 1/2 floppy drive, 1 modem, 2 type II PC Card Slots
with support for one type III card and one infrared port.

Are there any linux distros with xwindows that are able to run in such
a laptop?

Would it be worth it to upgrade the RAM and get a PCMCIA LAN card or
wireless card?
