Linux compatible AMD 64 laptops

I am considering purchasing a new laptop, preferably with an AMD64 CPU.

Anybody have any experience with the following HP/Compaq offerings?

HP Pavilion Compaq Presario
dv5000z - AMD Turion 64 v5000z - AMD Turion 64
dv2000z - AMD Turion 64 X2 (dual core) v3000z - AMD Turion 64 X2

Would appreciate which Linux distro you have used as well any gotchas
w.r.t. audio, video, sata devices
