Hi,
There are a plethora of Linux distros out there. I want one which
is optimised for dual core. I am going to get a system which is going
to run on Pentium T2300, 1.66 Ghz Dual core having 1GB RAM.
Surely you mean a Core Duo T2300 - there's no such thing as a Pentium
T2300.
Specifically I would like to know distros which can make optimal use
of both the cores.
Virtually any distro will do. Linux has been running on dual processors
for a long time now so just make sure you pick one that supplies a SMP
kernel as standard to make life easier. To the kernel there's no
difference between dual processor, dual core or hyperthreading they all
require the same SMP kernel.
Thanks in advance
