BTW wait a month before getting your system, the Core2 Duo is
coming out at the end of July.
It may be more of a problem with getting drivers for the chipsets
that support Core Duo. Or at least finding out which distros have
support (drivers) for them.
That's also a function of the kernel not the distribution. You can install
the current kernel on any distribution.
