Now that my ATAPI zip drive is working properly again [sd_mod wasn't
loading automatically], I have a zip disk I'd like to rehab without
losing the contents. It got "read only" set on it while I was
thrashing with the drive.
I googled around some but haven't found any zip disk tools for Linux,
yet I did see a post indicating some were in development.
Anyone know of any?
I don't have a Windows machine, & my wife's Windows computer has a
ATAPI Zip drive in an IDE-USB case. I'll try Iomega tools on it when
I get home from holiday, but I'd prefer her not having an excuse to
tell me I should have Windows...:-)
Much obliged, Bob
Funny, my distribution came with them (read: *very* old slackware)
called zip tools - not much except for eject write/unwrite protect and
just a bit more. You should be able to find it with freshmeat.net or
sourceforge.net (those *are* the dns's) Note: google and such aren't the
best for finding linux stuff, those two along with www.tldp.org and
gnu.org are far more relevant and non-spammed with junk "finds".
