So -- is that to imply that the maintainers of open source software are
now beholden to the whims of some closed-source software that was
written for proprietary hardware ?? You can then *kiss* all the

p.s. Henrik - glad to hear you got the issues somewhat worked out for
yourself ;-)
Now only to fix my broken Xorg config that the Dist-upgrade (first to
Etch - and everything worked great, but still used XF86Config-4), then
right after, I upgraded to "Unstable" and the Desktop Env. won't come
up at all :-(
I'm (somewhat) forced to boot into win98, to post this time. I needed
to for other reasons anyway.
