I'm running SUSE 10.1 on an old Compaq EVO desktop. I recently replaced my
UPS with a new Belkin 1000VA unit that came with its Bulldog software as a
tarball. I installed as instructed and connected the UPS to my serial port
and I've trying to get the system talking with the UPS.
Has anyone ever successfully made this happen? The Bulldog version I'm
running is 3.01.20 and I've tried numerous ports to see what works.
Currently I've got my definitions set to use /dev/ttyS2 at 2400 bps and I
have clocal and cread enabled.
Any ideas, clues, suggestions, ideas how to verify that I'm using the
correct serial port?
I've downloaded the Bulldog user manual in pdf from the Belkin site and read
through it but its really no help at all.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Bob
