Hi,
Finally got X video working on ATI x1400. It turns out that
X video is supported only in the latex drivers for these newer
cards and the use a mechanism completely different from the
old. I had to also use the option "TexturedVideo" "on"

Hi,.
Could you please tell me if the ATI fglrx drivers (any version)
supports the X video extension on Radeon x1300 (or higher) video
cards.
I am trying to setup Xvideo on my system with a x1300 card. I have
VideoOverlay on and OpenGLOverlay off and load extmod. However
xvinfo and xine-check both do not show any available Xvideo support.
(Probably because of this DVD's play in slow motion )
So I have been trying for months to find out if support for Xvideo
exists. I have written to ATI tech support twice. Both time the
replied with "we don't know anything about linux". I would like
to return my card to the vendor if there is no Xvideo support.
My vendor has agreed to do and exchange for an Nvidia card but
does not know anything about ATI drivers for linux.
I am told it is a good idea to do the exchange in any case, given
ATI's attitude I am inclined to do so but am not sure if Nvidia's
attitude towards linux users is any better .
Could you please help ?
