Presently I am using windows xp pro with sp2'
With intent of switching to linux I have started using knoppix 4.0
version.
But with knoppix I cannot access Internet.
Not having ethernet I was trying to configure dialup setup with internal
modem.
I am havng D-Link's Internal 56 kbbps V.92 Data/Fax/Voice Modem.
Whenever I try to configure diaup setup I cannot set it up.
Whenever I try to setup using configuration /dev/ttyS0, /dev/S1, dialog
box comes with 'modem is ready' and then 'initialising modem' and then
nothing happens.
When trying with /dev/ttyS2, /dev/ttyS3 and /dev/ttyS4 I get the message
'modem is busy"
With /dev/modem I get the message kpppcannot find /dev/modem.
Can somebody help me to setup my dialup connection.
Thanks.
