I don't see the problem here... My entire boot directory which I also have
on my root partition is less than 6 MB big. The above output from df says
that you have 79 MB free on your root partition.

I don't think that the bug is in your kernel, however using modules
compiled with different settings for SMP or amount of RAM compared to how
your kernel was compiled could cause hangs and crashes. These modules
include the DRI modules that are loaded by X.

I tried to reproduce the one from xscreensaver when I was looking,
configuring, and previewing. I couldn't do it after 30 minutes. :(

If you now are unable to reproduce the error the cause will get a lot
harder to find.
