Yeah, I want to upgrade my Kernel but I have no disk space on my boot

I don't see the problem here... My entire boot directory which I also have
on my root partition is less than 6 MB big. The above output from df says
that you have 79 MB free on your root partition.
I don't think that the bug is in your kernel, however using modules
compiled with different settings for SMP or amount of RAM compared to how
your kernel was compiled could cause hangs and crashes. These modules
include the DRI modules that are loaded by X.
I tried to reproduce the one from xscreensaver when I was looking,
configuring, and previewing. I couldn't do it after 30 minutes. :(
If you now are unable to reproduce the error the cause will get a lot
harder to find.
XScreenSaver was the first time I saw it but couldn't reproduce. The second source was in Pan
with a specific newsgrouo thread. That, I can still reproduce.
I found a way to upgrade my Kernel to 2.6.17-2-K7. I recompiled my NVIDIA driver and tested. It
worked the first time. I cheered, exited Pan, and compiled VMware v5.5.2 modules. I tested
VMware without problems and exited it. I relaunched Pan and tried again, BLACK SCREEN!
I did an /etc/init.d/vmware stop ... I exited X and typed this as su. Went back to X and tried
Pan again. Reproduced. Ugh. Dang it, I had it working once. Grr!
OK, I tried my friend's BFG NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200. Reproduced again. :( So, it is not my video
card or the heat so far.
