Here is the description:

MOTHERBOARD: (754-pin Socket) GigaByte GA-K8NS Pro

Your problem could very easily be the power supply. Athlons use a lot of
power, and most power supplies on the market are junk. I would recommend
something like an Antec Truepower rated at 500W, or maybe even higher.
500W is overkill if you have a decent, brand-name power supply. For a
single-processor system, you only need something in that range if you're
looking at no-name el-cheapo power supplies that get bundled with cheap
cases, and you don't want one of those anyway.
The system through which I'm posting this has the same motherboard and a
faster processor (Athlon 64 3200). I recently replaced the power supply
with an Antec NeoHE 380. I've not had any trouble with it since I built it
however long ago.
