I'm running mine with 4G at 200MHz (400DDR). I had to replace two of my
DIMMs with premium RAM and I upped the voltage on the DIMMs to the maximum
safe value. With my original two pairs of DIMMs the system wasn't stable
at 200MHz, the symptom was that Linux would lose interrupts. However after
I replaced two of the DIMMs with better DIMMs and upped the voltage it's
be solid as a rock. As I said in my earlier post I've been running it 24/7
for the last year and a half. I use it for simulation and FPGA place and
routes so it's running a heavy load all of the time so if there were any
problems I would have seen them. Linux also sees all 4G of RAM. As you
stated, you have to flip on Memory Hole Remapping in the BIOS and you have
to use a recent kernel. There was a bug in the IOMMU code in the 2.6.14
kernels but it was fixed in 2.6.15. I'm currently running the latest FC5
2.6.17 kernel.
