I have a P4C800e deluxe at home and a P4P800 at work. Both are installed
with FC5. At home the SATA drives are secondary but perfectly supported
and at work the system boots from the SATA drives. No problem at all.

Do your machines work with their full IDE configuration (4 PATA + 2 SATA)?!
Maybe I need to search some driver update (what a pity!), as such a
configuration is UNSTABLE on my Debian Sarge box.
