Hi,
I am trying to attach a RH AS 4 server to EMC SAN. Can somebody point
me to any guide/howto for this.
What specifically are you having trouble with?
You'll need to install an FC card in your Linux box and load the appropriate driver. If you need help with that, tell us what brand and model of FC card you're using.
Then you'll need to configure the EMC gear to export LUNs. For that, consult the EMC documentation or ask on an EMC mailing list or newsgroup. This is not the place to ask EMC-specific questions and the answer likely varies depending on exactly what EMC equipment you have.
Once that's done, your Linux box should see the EMC LUNs as Linux /dev/sdXY devices (just like a SCSI disk) that you can make filesystems on and mount as usual.
I don't know of a start-to-finish guide for this---usually the people who have access to EMC gear either have experienced sysadmins to do this for them or are experienced sysadmins themselves. But if you need specific help, let us know where along the way that is.
