How can I send data to control a pc serial board automation interface ?
Presuming you have no experience to know anything (on this topic), at
the moment, I can summarize a likely good starting point for you.
What serial connection is it? (I believe Linux has /dev/ttys*,
though I have a Cyclades [now Avanu] 16-serial-port PCI card in my Linux
system, and use /dev/ttyC* nodes.)
And, whatever documentation you have for this automation interface
should have something that indicates information about the serial
connection. It likely has information on data bits (7 or 8), parity
(none, even, odd), baud rate, etc.
To start with, can you find these things?
