Fixing a motherboard?

I have an older motherboard that has started to autoboot in Linux after being powered for some time. Funny that apparently does not happen in Win98 at all! There is a line of capasitors next to the processor. Under inspection it seems that a few of them are bulged at top. What are the chances of solving my problem if I replace those capasitors.
