Well, have you ever thought of just leaving the sides off?

I've always been led to believe that cases are designed to control air
flow, and leaving the sides off could actually result in more heating
than leaving them on.

I work often enough on boxes without their sides on, and I can't take
sides on this issue based on experience. But it is something worth
considering.
