In fact, some more testing showed it was probably more the port that
gave issues or maybe some human factor... the key was inserted with a
slight angle. Moving the key in the port gave the device back. I was
able to mount it and perform several tests, i left it as is (still in
functional state) and this morning it is still working fine.
I guess i'll just have to check that port a lot, at least it's not
very accessible so it won't be moved by mistake.
Perhaps a poorly constructed male connector on the key, especially if
other USB devices work in the same port.
