We have a new server (Fedora Core 5) with a four port Intel NIC card.
If this is truly going to be a server and you expect it to have a decent
lifespan (i.e. more than 6 months to a year) then don't use Fedora Core
anything, use an Enterprise level distribution - CentOS would be a good choice
if you're comfortable with Fedora/Redhat versions already. Fedora Core whatever
has a limited lifespan - 6 months between each new release and security updates
are available for 6 months after the release of the next version. FC6 is already
out so FC5 has less than 6 months before updates for it cease. In a year's time
you'll either be reinstalling the server with a newer FCx or you'll be
recovering from a rootkit!
