I an currently running Mandriva 2006 with a FX5200 nvidia card and the new

I have a Samsung LCD 215TW monitor which I cannot run at the native
resolution (1680x1050).
A bit of googling seem to indicate others have some unsolved issues in this
area. A search of the nvidia forum didn't turn up a solution.
I found this reference to a dual setup.

But Steve seem to be running at 1280x1024 which is not the monitors native
native resolutioin
Has anyone actually got this monitor running under linux and nvidia
Have you tried manually editing the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file to add the mode you want? In the Section "Screen" SubSection "Display" add "1680x1050" to each modes line.
Save the file and restart your X server (ctrl-alt-bksp after you've saved any open files).
