Hard drive noise
Hi,
Why does it seem like the hard drive makes more noise when used under linux
than Windows.
I use ubuntu linux(fiesty fawn) and Windows Vista on my laptop VAIO
VGN-N31M/W (disk dive = an PATA FUJITSU 5400 rpm). I use ext2 fs and linux
uses the libata.
any suggestions...? like changing fs, or using hdparm or tweaks..?
Regards,
Ravishankar
