Small server hd config?

Hi all,

I would like to put together a small server with linux.
Is scsi or sata better for file transfer speeds? Is there
any other types of hd connections I should look at?
Does anyone have a benchmark/transfer rate numbers
anywhere?

thanks,
charles.....
