Yes, it's the resolution declared by the manifacturer...
You can try to optimise the H and V sync timings. Get these values
from the monitor reference manual and insert it in to your /etc/X11/
xorg.conf. Being an LCD I doubt that its going to make any
substantial improvements.
The X server should be able to read the preferred timings from the
monitor. In most normal situations there is no need to specify
explicit timings.
